The basic trigonometric functions mapped on the unit cylinder (in this case an ice tea bottle).  What I like about this is that it lets you see that a sine wave (blue) is produced by the intersection of a plane with a cylinder.
The other good way to do that is to cut a roll of paper towels in half with a chop saw, on an angle.
