Rian on Elezea discusses the Monster Engine, an interesting project which, oddly, I can’t link to from here. Children were asked to draw monsters or things they were afraid of, and then described them to an artist who interpreted them as paintings (based on tracings of the original). What is especially interesting is the debate / spitting match in the comments, over whether or not the project is demeaning or damaging to the children involved.
